Methanol carbonyl synthesis also known as methyl formate method.
Methanol and carbon monoxide react in the presence of the catalyst for Sodium methoxide, Under certain temperature and pressure, Methyl Formate is hydrolyzed to Formic Acid, then hydrolyzed to formic acid and methanol.

Storage:

2. Keep away from the fire, heat. The reservoir temperature should not exceed 30 , and the relative humidity should not exceed 85%.
3. Keep the container sealed. Must be separated from the oxidant, alkali, active metal powder , avoid mixing storage.
4. Equipped with corresponding varieties and quantities of fire equipment.
5. Should have the divulging emergency handling equipment and appropriate accepts the material.
